Pursuing Pure Sciences At IISc

For students interested in observing, experimenting and those who are curious to study natural phenomena, pursuing pure sciences after PUC can turn out to be the right choice.

Pure sciences is a research-oriented field that fuels innovations in fields like engineering. Streams like physics, chemistry, & mathematics fall under this category. Students at Deeksha who show a keen interest in the pure sciences are encouraged to take up the KVPY National fellowship exam conducted by the IISc.

These students are provided with the required guidance to do well in this exam and they have been doing us proud with their amazing KVPY results. In the last KVPY exam, 19 Deeksha students cleared the first round, and 16 out of these went on to clear both the rounds and bagged the prestigious fellowship by IISc.

All the students who cleared the first round were given a chance to attend a mock interview that was conducted by our expert faculty. The students went on to say that this was not just a preparation tool but rather an experience that made them confident of doing well in round 2 which is a personal interview round.
