The biggest quiz competition in the state for high school students is all set to begin this January 8th. More than 1000 students from 10 cities across the state are expected to participate in the Prajavani Quiz Competition presented by Deeksha.

The event which was started in the year 2014 has grown to become one of the biggest school events in Karnataka. Held across 10 cities, the competition will have students from more than 800 schools. A school can only have three groups and a group must comprise of two students.

The initial elimination round will be held at all zones. The top teams from the different zones will then take part in the semi-finals which is followed by a final round which will be held on 24th January in Bengaluru.

Cash prizes worth more than a lakh will be awarded to the winners. The first prize winners will get Rs 50,000 as a cash prize. The runners-up and the third prize winners will get Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. The fourth prize winners will get a cash prize worth Rs 6000 and the fifth prize winners will get Rs 4000.
