What distinguishes the Deeksha B.Com. programme from others?

We have entered the undergraduate domain with an eye on the aspirations of the commerce graduates in India and the challenges they face when they go about achieving them. Deeksha’s undergraduate programme systematically removes the obstacles that commerce students face in securing brilliant careers.
With decades of prior experience catering to +2 students of the commerce stream, we have an ear to the ground when it comes to the aspirations of the commerce graduates. A substantial section of these aspires for a career in chartered accountancy, chartered secretaryship, chartered management accounting. Then there are those who aspire to become civil servants or join other public services. And there is a considerable number of those who plan to advance in corporate careers, and last but not the least, there are those who would like to test their mettle in entrepreneurship and independent consultancy. We, at Deeksha, aim to empower our graduates with skills and training so that they could opt for any of these careers.

Can you elaborate on how Deeksha B.Com. helps graduates in entering these lucrative careers?

We have integrated the B.Com. degree programme with career-oriented courses. B.Com. and C.A. integrated programme is one among them. The first-year students could prepare for C.A. Foundation along with the B. Com syllabus, similarly, second-year students could prepare for C.A. Intermediate Group 1 and third-year students, for C.A. Group 2.

The integration suits the B.Com. students very well as many of the subjects for C.A. and B.Com. are concurrent.

For those who aspire for corporate jobs, we have certification courses in Insurance, Stock market, Event management, Disaster management, Six sigma certification, Data analysis, Digital marketing

These certifications are equally valuable for aspiring entrepreneurs and wannabe independent consultants. In addition to that, we have collaborated with top institutes to help those who want to prepare for public sector exams. We also have tie-ups with leading institutes and firms for internships and placements. We have a dedicated placement cell in place to facilitate regular placement drives and we are striving to achieve 100 percent placements from the year of inception itself.

Holistic education being Deeksha’s hallmark, its B.Com. programme is well rounded and includes seminars, projects, industrial visits. We have a Research Cell, Subject clubs, Business Lab, Accounts lab to enhance the learning experience. In addition to that, we have a wide spectrum of co-curricular activities including NSS, Sports, cultural activities, Inter-college fests that help the undergraduates have a memorable college life along with a rich academic experience.
