JEE Main 2026 is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, and it also serves as the qualifying test for JEE Advanced for IIT admissions.
The JEE Main 2026 registration is expected to start in November 2025 for the January session. Candidates can register online at jeemain.nta.ac.in by filling in personal details, uploading documents, and paying the application fee before the deadline.
NTA conducts JEE Main twice a year — January and April sessions. Candidates can appear in both sessions, and the best of the two scores will be considered for final ranking and admission purposes.
Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. There is no age limit, but candidates must have appeared for their Class 12 exam in 2024 or 2025.
